Parent’s Essential Rodeo Guide

Success in the arena is a team effort. We’ve compiled these essential tips to help parents and youth competitors move through every SIJRA event with confidence and clarity.

Arena Arrival & Check-in

Plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before the grand entry. This allows time for stress-free horse unloading, required vet checks, and final registration confirmation at the office.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

Always double-check your cinch, hydration of the horse and athlete, and youth protective gear. At SIJRA, we prioritize horse wellness and rider safety above all else.

Staying Informed with Equest

Live results, real-time standings, and immediate schedule updates are all handled through the Equest app. Keep your notifications active throughout the rodeo weekend.
